Uncle Russell never married. He took care of his mother, Georgia Dean, at her home until she became to ill for him to care for.

After his mother died, he traveled for over a year. No one knew where he was or what had happened to him. He just showed up one day at my house to my mother's surprise. She told him we had started thinking he was dead he'd been gone so long. He said he had been traveling around the country picking apples and other fruits.

He was living on Aunt Juanita's farm in Brighton, TN and working for her husband, Thomas Faught when he passed away.

Aunt Juanita said he always kept her grass cut for her in the summer just like she wanted it while he lived there.

He was a good son, brother and uncle.
