Viola L. Hackbarth, 91, a resident of the Beaver Dam Care Center, died Friday, Aug. 13, 1999, at the center.

The funeral will be Tuesday, Aug. 17, at 7 p.m. at the Murray Community Funeral Home, Beaver Dam. The Rev. Paul Lindau will officiate. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Beaver Dam.

Mrs. Hackbarth was born April 14, 1908, in the town of LeRoy, Wis., daughter rof Xavier and Laura (Guse) Wild. She was married to Charles Hackbath on July 3, 1924, in Waukegan, Ill.

She farmed with her husband in the Lomira, Ripon and Waupun areas, was a resident of Beaver Dam since 1960, and worked at the Clearview Nursing Home, Juneau, for many years.

Survivors include two daughters, Elvira (Cecil) Brown and Shirley (Martin) Duehring, both of Concord, Calif.; two sons, Winnie (Alice) Hackbarth and Charles (Connie) Hackbarth both of Beaver Dam; 13 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Erma Siedschlag of Beaver Dam, Selma Kragel of Brownsville, Wis.; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles, in 1965, and her brothers, Norbert, Melvin and Gilbert Wild.

Friends may call on Tuesday, Aug. 17, from 5 p.m. to the time of service at the Murray Community Funeral Home, Beaver Dam.
