Melvin E. Wild, 62, of Kekoskee, died Tuesday, Aug. 4, 1981, at Methodist Hospital, Madison, after an illness of several weeks.
He was born in the Town of Oakfield on April 3, 1919, a son of the late Xavier and Lauara Guse Wild. He married Florence Schlefke on Aug. 16, 1947, at Oakfield.
Mr. Wild retired from the John Deere Horicon Works in 1975. He was a veteran of World War II, a fomer member of the Kekoskee Fire Department and a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church at Kekoskee.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Robert of Indianapolis, Ind., David of Theresa and Scott at home; a daughter, Mrs roger (Cynthia) Bischoff of Horicon; three grandchildren; a brother, Gilbert of Kekoskee; and three sisters, Mrs Selma Kragel of Brownsville, Mrs. Erma Siedschlag and Mrs. Viola Hackbath, both of Beaver Dam. A brother preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Kekoskee. Pastor Thomas B. Knickelbein will officiate, and burial will be in Kekoskee Cemetery.
Visitation for Mr. Wild will be from 4r to 9 p.m. Thursday at Koepsell Funeral Home, Mayville, and at the church from noon Friday until the time of services.
