Mrs. Patrick J. Caton
(Margaret M. Walsh Caton)
Mrs. Margaret M. Walsh Caton, 76, of 311A Mercer St., Phillipsburg, died today at her home after a brief illness. She was the wife of Patrick J. Caton.
A native of County Waterford, Ireland, she was a daughter of the late William and Mary Fitzgerald Walsh. She came to the United States in 1900 and had lived in Phillipsburg since then.
Mrs. Caton was a member of Sts. Philip and James Catholic Church, Phillipsburg.
Surviving, besides her husband, are five daughters, Miss Margaret Caton, of New York City; Mrs. Frederick Smith, of North Tonawanda, N.Y., and Mrs. William Rumold, of Columbus, Ga., four sons, Joseph, Philip and Thomas, all of Phillipsburg, and Edward, at home; two brothers, William and John Walsh, in Ireland, and 11 grandchildren.

Requiem Mass for Mrs. Margaret M. Walsh Caton, of 311A Mercer St., Phillipsburg, was celebrated this morning in Sts. Philip and James Catholic Church, Phillipsburg. Mrs. Caton, the wife of Patrick J. Caton, died Thursday at her home. The funeral was conducted from the Finegan Funeral Home, Phillipsburg.
The Rt. Rev. Msgr. William J. Lannary, rector of the church, was the celebrant. Interment was in Sts. Philip and James Cemetery. The Rev. Francis J. Crupi offered prayers at the grave.
Pallbearers were James Lilly, John Ahart, James Lannan, Francis Condon, Hugh Smith Jr., and Joseph Rak.
