Obituary

Helen Marie Rumold, 69, of 24 Victory Ave., Pohatcong Township, died Friday in her home after a long illness.

She was employed at Ingersoll-Rand Co. as a cashier for many years.

Born Sept. 26, 1920, in Phillipsburg, she was a daughter of the late Patrick Caton and Margaret Walsh Caton.

Mrs. Rumold was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Alpha, N.J., the Harker's Hollow Golf Club in Harmony Township, N.J. and the Officer's Club in Fort Monmouth, N.J.

She was a graduate from St Philip and St. James Porochial High School in 1938.

She is survived by her husband, Ret. Lt. Colonel William F. Rumold.

Also surviving are three sons, William of Boise, Idaho, Major Edward Rumold of Little Rock, Ark., and Gerry of East Fishkill, N.Y.; a sister, Sue DeSesso of Peapack, N.J.; and two brothers Edward of Spring Hill, Fla. and Philip of Phillipsburg; and four grandchildren.

Services will be held at 8:15 a.m. Monday at the Finegan Funeral Home in Phillipsburg. A Mass of Chiristian Burial will be celebrated at 9 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Alpha, N.J. Interment will be in Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Va.
