Mary Caton Smith, 65, of 240 Broad St., North Tonawanda, NY, formerly of Phillipsburg, died Sunday in the Degra1ff Memorial Hospital, North Tonawnada.

At one time, she was a nurse at Warren Hospital.

Born in Phillipsburg, she was a daughter of the late Patrick and Margaret Walsh Caton. She lived in North Tonawanda the past 40 years.

Her husband, Frederick Smith, died in 1963.

Surviving are three daughters, Mary Alice Smith and Susan Horvath, both of Denver, Colo., and Anne Smith, Tonawanda; a son, Frederick of Tonawanda; three sisters, Mrs. Alice Lynch and Mrs. Helen Rumold, both of Phillipsburg, and Mrs. Sue DeSesso, Peapack, NJ; two, brothers, Edward Canton, Tampa, Fla., and Philip Caton, Phillipsburg, and three grandchildren.

Services and interment will be held Thursday in North Tonawanda.
