Verna Laura Carter Moore passed away in a Wichita Falls hospital on December 1,1996 at age 100.
Verna was born to Alfred Lee and Margaret Ann Carter on January 29,1896 She married Carey Curtis Moore March 1,1917 and they settled in Clara when they moved to Wichita County.
They came to Iowa Park in 1951.
Verna was preceded in death by her Parents A.L. and Margaret Carter and brothers 6 brothers and 6 sisters. She was also preceded in death by her son Furman Lee Moore.
Verna was survived by 2 daughters Mrs.Floyd Browning of Iowa Park and Glenda Willet of Burkburnett and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Verna was laid to rest in Highland Cemetery under the direction of Dutton Funeral home in Iowa Park.
