Seaneth M. Walker was born February 13, 1914 in Roll, Oklahoma to Nancy Lida and Alfred Thomas Leddy. She passed away March 21, 2001 in Little Bird Nursing Center, Weatherford, Oklahoma at the age of 87 years 1 months and 8 days.
Seaneth attended school at Five Star and married Henry Charles Walker at Five Star-Three Corner Community on March 20, 1932. They lived in a dugout in Five Star and later moved to Roll, Oklahoma to make their home. In March of 1997 they moved to Weatherford, Oklahoma to be near their son. Seaneth worked alongside Henry on the farm. She also loved to can, gardening, cooking, sewing and quilting.
She was a member of the Crawford Magnolia Baptist Church and the Roll Quilting Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters and three brothers.
Survivors include one daughter, Velta Rae Pegigo and husband Clay of Jackson, MS; two sons, Charles Walker aand wife, Maria, Guthrie, OK and Ronnie D. Walker and wife, Glenda of Weatherford, OK. One sister, Minnie Hillman, Roll, OK and two brothers, Lloyd "Slim" Leddy, Galt, CA and A.T. Leddy, Cheyenne, OK; ten grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Two special ladies that took car of Seaneth between December 1997 and November 1999, Wilma Runnels and Lois Stoners and all of the staff at Little Bird Nursing Center and a host of relatives and friends.
Memorials mary be made to the Crawford Magnolia Baptist Church, Weatherford First United Methodist Church of the Southwestern Memorial Hospital Equipment Fund.
Services were held Saturday, March 24, 2001 at 2:30 p.m. at the Crawford Magnolia Baptist Church, officiated by Terry Beals and Calvin Walker. Burial followed at Silent Home Cemetery, Roll, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service.
