Lavina G. Martin, 85, of United Zion Retirement Community, Lititz, died there Sunday evening after a short illness.
Formerly of 629 W. Lexington Road, Lititz, she had lived at the home for 10 months.
She was married to Charles H. Martin for 65 years on April 2.
She was a member of Erb Mennonite Church, Lititz, where she was a member of the women's sewing circle and the Joybells, a singing group.
Born in Ochevden, Iowa, she was the daughter of the late Elam and Lavina Gingrich Martin. She was a homemaker.
Surviving in addition to her husband are four sons, Clair M., husband of Nancy R Landis Martin, and Melvin J., husband of Mary Ann Hess Martin, both of Lititz; Dr. C. Edwin, husband of Arlene H. Heisey Martin of York; and
Vernon L.. husband of Linda L. Alderfer
Martin of Harleysville; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.
Also surviving are four sisters, Anna Zimmerman of Lititz; and Ellen Fox, Irene Martin, and Vera Martin, all of Ephrata; and one
brother, Ezra, husband of Edith Martin of Ephrata.
