She was the wife of Paul L. Sauder and born in May City, Iowa, a daughter of the late Elam and Lavina Gingrich Erb Martin. She was a member of Erb Mennonite Church, where she was also active in the sewing circle. She also did volunteer work for the Mennonite Central Committee.
Surviving in addition to her husband are seven children: Roy E. Sauder, Mount Joy R3; Mervin Sauder, Lititz; Elva, wife of E. Robert Bare, Lancaster; Lorraine, wife of Robert H. Rohrer, Washington Boro; Marjorie, wife of Daniel Stoltzfus, Mount Joy; Carolyn, wife of Dale R. Leaman, Strasburg; Linda, wife of Marvin Nissley, Mount Joy; 28 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are these brothers and sisters: Ivan Martin and Ezra Martin, both of Ephrata R1; Anna, wife of Aaron Zimmerman, Lititz R4; Rachael Martin, Reinholds R1; Ellen, wife of Daniel Fox, Ephrata R1; Lavina, wife of Charles Martin, Lititz; Irene Martin and Vera Martin, both of Ephrata.
