Ann Serio, age 93, formerly of 1102 Waldo Blvd., Manitowoc, who had been residing
at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center for the past 10 years, died early Sunday morning,
March 10, 1996, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 12, 1996, at Holy Innocents
Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Officiating at the at the Mass of Christian Burial will
be Rev. David Zimmerman with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
The former Ann Heinzl was born April 10, 1902, in Oshkosh, daughter of the late
Bertard and Anna Jungworth Heinzl. On June 13, 1922, she married Ted Serio at St.
Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He preceded her in death August 8, 1968. Mrs.
Serio was a member of the Manitowoc Senior Center and the Knights of Columbus
Council 710 Auxiliary.
Survivors include two daughters, Giovanna Herrmann and Marion Kanzelberger, both
of Manitowoc; two sisters, Amber Peterson, Long Boat Key, Fla., Constance Kelley,
Milwaukee. Also surviving are nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She
was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, William Herrmann; three sisters, and
four brothers.
The family will greet relatives and friends from 10 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Innocents
Catholic Church until the time of service at 11 a.m.
The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral
arrangements.
