LEWIS G. BORTNER
Lewis G. Bortner, 66, husband of Mrs. Augusta Graser Bortner, died at 5:15 p.m. yesterday at his home, Glen Rock R.D. 2.
He was employed for the past 10 years at the plant of Glen Traditional, Inc., Glen Rock. A resident of the area for 40 years, he was a member of the Lutheran congregation of St. Jacob's (Stone) Union Church.
He belonged to the Glen Rock, Seven Valleys and Jefferson Fire Companies, and Yosemite Tribe 100, Improved Order of Red Men, Glen Rock.
He leaves his widow; 12 children, Mrs. William Markel and Mrs. Earl Dubbs, both of Glen Rock; George W. and Clyde L. Bortner, both of Brodbecks R.D. 1; Mrs. Kenneth Myers, Spring Grove R.D. 2; Mrs. Alfred Thoman, Spring Grove R.D. 1; Mrs. Ivan Wildasin, York New Salem; Mrs. Adam Stetzer, York and Myrl L., Paul H., Mary J. and Lewis G. Bortner Jr., all at home; 23 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; his mother, Mrs. Tersie Rohrbaugh Bortner, Spring Grove; two sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Harry Glatfelter, Ellen Bortner, Allen R. Bortner and Paul R. Bortner, all of Spring Grove.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at the Geiple Funeral Home, Glen Rock. The Rev. Dr. K. S. Ehrhart, his pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Jacob's Church Cemetery.
