Born Wednesday, February 8, 1933 in Toney, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Murphy Anderson Heard and the late Gracie Broadway Heard. She was a lifelong resident of the Ardmore area and enjoyed flower arranging.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Emmett Ferguson, sister: Odell Bishop, and brothers: Hubert Heard, David Heard, and Elmer Dean Heard.
Surviving are brothers, Harvel Heard of Toney, AL and Alton Heard of Ardmore, AL, sisters, Opal Hereford of Toney, AL, Kathyleen Marberry of Ardmore, AL and Marjorie Jones of Fayetteville, TN.
Graveside service will be at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at Gatlin Cemetery with Bro. Doran Smith officiating. Burial will be in Gatlin Cemetery, Ardmore, AL. Pallbearers will be Tim Heard, Jason Hereford, Jerry Heard, Tracy Hereford, David Hereford, and Horace Marberry.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, July 31, 2012, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama.
