Jake Vaculik was born July 13, 1910, at Engle as a son of the late Joseph and Eva Fiedler Vaculik. On October 17, 1933, he was united in marriage to Albina Sbrusch at the Praha Catholic Church. The couple settled at Engle where they engaged in farming. He was a member of the Praha Catholic Church. Having been in failing health for the past year, Jake, age 59, succumbed June 19 at Youens Memorial Hospital in Weimar.
Survivors are his widow, Albina Vaculik of Engle; a daughter, Mary Ann Barcak of Rosenberg; a son, George Vaculik of Richmond; a sister, Mary Fojtik of Sugar Land; four brothers, Bennie and Bill Vaculik of Sugar Land and Joe and Adolph Vaculik of Engle; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Henry, who died March 26, 1969, and Jerry, who lost his life in France during World War II, as well as another brother and a sister who died at an early age.
