WILLIAM FRANCIS HALL NORTHFIELD - Funeral services for William Hall, long time Northfield business man, who passed away at the Minnesota Odd Fellows Home were held on Thursday, July 25, at 2:00 p.m. in All Saints Episcopal Church. The Rev. Donald Field officiated and Dr. George Hargrave was at the organ with Mrs. Alan Alberg the soloist. Interment was in Oaklawn cemetery. Pallbearers were four sons: Ralph, Roger, Richard and John Hall and two grandsons, David and Gary Hall. William Hall was born on August 5, 1882 in Fort Keogh, Mont., to John and Agnes Paulsen Hall. He lived in Fortville, Ind., until he was eight years of age when the family moved to Northfield where he has since resided. On June 23, 1911, he was married to Adelaide Tralle in Northfield. She passed away on May 26, 1963. He was a member of All Saints Church, a 60 year member of the Northfield Lodge No. 50 I.O.O.F.; a retired member of the Northfield Encampment Lodge and retired colonel of Northfield Cannon Lodge. He was also a retired member of the Northfield Fire department. Mr. Hall learned the sheet metal business at the Northfield Furnace Company and was employed there for some time before being employed by O.A. Lysne at the West Side Hardware. In partnership he opened the Donaldson and Hall in 1922 and in 1930 he started the Hall Sheet Metal business where he continued until his retirement. Mr Hall is survived by five sons and four daughters. They are: Ralph, Francis, Roger, Richard and John all of Northfield. The daughters are: Mrs. Maynard Kleeberger (Marian) of Mantorville; Mrs. Robert Dunlay (Margaret) of North Highlands, Calif.; Mrs. Earl Abbott (Helen) of Faribault and Miss Arlene Hall of Northfield. Other survivors are 25 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
