Aged Newton Resident Succumbs to Pneumonia Attack; Buried Thursday Afternoon.
Phillip Anthony age 78, succumbed to an attack of pneumonia early Wednesday morning at his home in East Newton. His death followed a several-day period of critical illness.
The funeral was conducted Thursday afternoon from the late residence.
Surviving the deceased are several children and a number of grandchildren. His wife preceded him to the grave several years ago.
Mr. Anthony was well known in Newton, and was highly respected by all who knew him. He was regared as one of the best citizens of the community.
