MONTEREY -- Funeral services for Braden McCowan, 68, of Cookeville, will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 6, from the chapel of Goff Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Love Joy Cemetery.

Masonic funeral rites will be held at 7 p.m. today, Tuesday, June 5, at the funeral home.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. today, at the funeral home.

Mr. McCowan passed away on Monday, June 4, 2012, in Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

He was born Nov. 16, 1944, in Overton County to the late Sherman and Celia Wilson McCowan.

He was retired from Adams USA in Cookeville and was a member of Monterey Masonic Lodge 751. He was a Free Will Baptist in faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Lola Key, Delcie Sparks and infant Helen McCowan; two brothers, Clyde McCowan and Earl McCowan; two nieces, Debbie Greenwood and Kim Murphy; and two nephews, Lonnie McCloud and Tommy McCowan.

Revs. Earl Melton and Randall Hoover will officiate at the services.

Goff Funeral Home in Monterey is in charge of arrangements (931) 839-2311.
