MONTEREY -- Funeral services for Lola Key, 74, of Monterey, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 17, from the chapel of Goff Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Love Joy Cemetery.
Family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. today, Wednesday, March 16, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Key passed away Monday, March 14, 2011, at Standing Stone Care and Rehabilitation Center in Monterey.
She was born Aug. 13, 1936, in Overton County to Sherman and Celia Wilson McCowan.
Mrs. Key was a factory worker.
Her family includes her husband, Carl Key of Monterey; a daughter and son-in-law, Helen and Earl Blaylock of Monterey; a granddaughter, Katrina Eldridge of Monterey and her fiance, Brad Atkins; a great-granddaughter, Sydnee Eldridge; a sister and brother-in-law, Anna and Loyce McCloud of Cookeville; a brother and sister-in-law, Braden and Betty McCowan of Cookeville; a brother-in-law, Jim Sparks of Cookeville; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Key was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen McCowan and Delcie Sparks; two brothers, Clyde and Earl McCowan; two nephews, Tommy McCowan and Lonnie McCloud; and a niece, Debbie Greenwood.
Revs. Bobby Floyd and David Harris will officiate the services.
