Celia McCowan Funeral services for Celia McCowan, 88, of Monterey, were conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, November 26, 1999, from the chapel of Goff Funeral Home with Rev. Eugene McCowan and Rev. Glen Murphy officiating. Burial was in Love Joy Cemetery with Goff Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. McCowan, a homemaker, died Tuesday, November 23, 1999, at her daughter�s home in Cookeville. Born February 8, 1911 in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Caleb and Emma (Rines) Wilson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sherman McCowan; an infant daughter, Helen McCowan; a son, Clyde McCowan; five brothers; one sister; and two grandchildren, Debbie Greenwood and Lonnie McCloud. She was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Lola and Carl Key, Monterey, Anna and Loyce McCloud, Cookeville, and Delcie and Jim Sparks, Cookeville; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Earl McCowan, Monterey, and Braden and Betty McCowan, Cookeville; one sister, Mary Ann Phillips, Monterey; eight grand children; 10 great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. Maiden name was Wilson, d/o Caleb & Emma Rines Wilson, w/o Sherman McCowan 22223129
