ROCKPORT, Ind. - M. Alberta Hayse, 80, of Rockport passed away on Saturday, May 6, 2006, at Owensboro Medical Health System. Alberta was born in Dog Creek on Aug. 7, 1925, to the late George W. and Anna Gertrude (Bradley) Alvey. Alberta worked at the Spencer County Library and was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, gardening and dancing. Alberta was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters. Alberta is survived by five children, Lee Etta McCorkle (Jan) of Owensboro, Marlin Hayse (Sandy), Tim Hayse (Andrea) and Amanda Hayse, all of Rockport, and Jeffery Hayse (Jenny) of Evansville; a brother, Herman Alvey; 11 grandchildren, Preston, Justin, Trevor, Jarod, Aiden, Joel, Allison, and Hannah Hayse, Jessica Hayse Lambert, Molly and Maggie McCorkle; and three great-grandchildren. Services are at noon Tuesday, May 9, at St. Benedict Catholic Church in Wax, with Father Brian Johnson officiating. Burial is in St. Benedict Catholic Cemetery. Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. today at the Boultinghouse Funeral home in Rockport and from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday at St. Benedict Catholic Church. A prayer service will be held at 7 tonight at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Riley Children's Hospital.
