Cyril Colbert Alvey, 45, Route 2, Clarkson passed away April 20, 1978 at Jewish Hospital in Louisville. He was born October 24, 1932 in Grayson County, the son of George and Gertrude Bradley Alvey. He is survived by his widow Willidean Hayse Alvey. Survivors other than his wife include four sons, Kevin, Robert, David and Richard Alvey, all of Clarkson; two sisters, Dollie Higdon, Louisville and Alberta Hayse, Rockport, IN; two brothers, Paul Alvey, Louisville and Herman Alvey, Leitchfield. Services were held April 22 at St Benedict Catholic Church by Rev Carman DeChristopher with burial in St Benedict Cemetery under the direction of Rogers Funeral Home.
