Eleanor V. Beaver, 72, 634 First St., died at 2:15 a.m. Saturday (19 Oct 1985) at Miller's Merry Manor. She had been a resident of the nursing home since October 11.
Miss Beaver was a retired teacher, and had been employed by the Huntington County schools for 38 years. She was a member of the East State Street Church of God, Business and Professional Women's Club, Christian Women's Club, and Delta Kappa Gamma Society.
Miss Beaver was born 2 March 1913 in Lancaster Township to Henry and Carrie Sunderman Beaver.
Surviving are five sisters, Hilda Bolinger, Huntington, Louetta Swaidner, Huntington, Wanda Zion, Fort Wayne, Crystal Lumm, Fort Wayne, and Betty P. Tinsman, Denver, Colo; and two brothers, Russel H. Beaver, Albuquerque, N. M., and Bert Beaver, Colorado Springs, Colo.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Bailey-Schafer Memorial Chapel. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the East State Street Church of God, with Rev. Lewis Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery.
Preferred memorials are contributions to the East State Street Church of God or Huntington County Cancer Society.
Pallbearers are Gene Rubrake, Ted Bosler, Gerald Swaidner, Russell Osborne, Victor Hammel and Forest Kramer Sr.
