Henry Beaver, 61, died Friday night at 11:55 o'clock at his home in Lancaster Township, after an illness of 10 days with pneumonia. He died on the farm on which he was born 16 October 1856 and on which he lived all his life.
Mr. Beaver was married twice and to the unions, 14 children were born, 13 of them are still living. (Actually it should say 15 children with 14 still living.)
His first marriage was to Eva Margarethe Walter, 16 February 1882 , to them 5 children were born, 4 of the 5 survive. They are Amanda Ella Beaver, Mrs. William (Mary Rebecca Beaver) Fulton, Bertram Monroe Beaver and Mrs. Richard (Clara Matilda Beaver) Bischoff.
The second marriage was to Caroline 'Carrie' Sophie Marie Sundermann on 14 January 1896 and to them 9 children were born. They are: Lawrence Joseph Beaver, Elsie Marie Beaver, Esther Mae Beaver Ashley, Lewetta Dessie Beaver Swaidner, Crystal P. Beaver, Betty Pauline Beaver Tinsman, Hilda Edna Beaver Bolinger, Eleanor V. Beaver, and Wanda Gertrude Beaver Zion; (should say 10 children, there was a Russell Henry Beaver) and 7 grandchildren living. A half-sister, Mrs. Esther Hartman.
Mr. Beaver belonged to the Church of God of Huntington.
The funeral service will be held Monday, leaving the residence at 1:30 o'clock and going to Lancaster for services and burial. The Rev. Marshall Mercer of Huntington will officiate.
