Agnes Lagorin, 89, Kenmare, died Saturday, May 5 at Trinity Medical Center of Minot. Her funeral will be Wednesday, May 9, 1990 at 3:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Kenmare. Burial will take place in Lakeview
Cemetery, also of Kenmare. Officiating for the service will be Rev. Gary Cole. Pianist will be Deanna Ankenbauer. Special music will be offered by Rev. Gary Cole and Arthur Ekstrom Active casket bearers will include Merrill Rodin, James Rodin, Allen Martin, Wesley Martin, Thomas Hove and Rick Remmich.

Agnes L. Lagorin was born on September 25, 1900 at Sioux City, Iowa, a daughter of P.A. and Alma (Erickson) Ekstrom. The family came to the area west of Kenmare, in Burke County in 1903 and Agnes attended rural schools in that area for her education. She was married to Frank Lagorin at her family home on November 4, 1923 and they lived and farmed in
Kandiyohi Twp. of Ward County, near Kenmare. In 1934 they moved to Elmdale Township while they continued farming and they then moved into Kenmare in 1947. Frank died in July 1975 and she had remained in Kenmare since that time.

She was a member of the Niobe Baptist Church while living in the country and was currently a member of the First Baptist Church in Kenmare.

She is survived by her son, Morris and wife, Gloria, Kenmare, daughter, Marion Williams and husband Ben, of Newark, Delaware; 8 grandchildren;
Kathy, Wayne, Dianne, Cindy, Jeffrey, Teresa, Dawn, and Bruce; 4 great-grandchildren: Michael, Melissa, Stacy, and Lacy; brother, Arthur Ekstrom, Bowbells; and sisters, Alice Rodin, Amy Nelson, Aurene Johnson, all of Kenmare, Adrie Smith, Mohall, and Alida Savage, Stone Mountain, Georgia. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Arvid, and sisters, Anna and Alma.

Also Surviving are 40 nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 12:00 noon at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home in Kenmare.
