HENRY FRANKLIN BOYD DIES IN SLEEP TODAY

Henry Franklin Boyd, 67 years old, who has been an invalid for the past eight years, passed away in his sleep this morning at his home on So. Main Street. Death came between 5 and 8 a.m. for the victim of a paralytic stroke-sustained in January, 1928.

Mr. Boyd was born Jan. 7, 1869, the son of George H. and Elizabeth Cox Boyd, in this city.

Mr. Boyd was married in December, 1895 to Miss Gresham, who survives him with their four children, Mrs. Ethel Bivin, Mrs. Edward R. Smith, Miss Clara Boyd, all of this city, and Stanley E. Boyd of Springfield, TN. Also surviving are one grandson, Jimmie Bivin and four sisters, Mrs. J.B. Witty and Misses Ada M Boyd and Fannie Boyd of this city, and Mrs. A.H. Newell, of San Francisco; and two brothers, Ernest L. Boyd, of the county and Miles E. Boyd of the city.

Mr. Boyd was a devoted member of the Second Baptist Church, having served as deacon and Sunday School Superintendent prior to his long illness.

Funeral services will be held at the residence at 11 o'clock Tuesday morning and burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. The services will be conducted by the Rev. L E. Martin, pastor of the Second Baptist church, assisted by the Rev. J W Weldon, pastor of the Methodist church.
