Funeral services for David Mac Barnett, 51, who died Tuesday morning, February 12, at 10:00 a.m. in the State Hospital, Danville , services will be held today at 2:00p.m. at the Campbellsville Baptist Church. Dr. J. Chester Badgett will be in charge of the services. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery. Barnett, son of the late Jim Barnett and Mrs. Lucy Barnett Caffee, died as the result of self-inflicted knife wounds and a back injury sustained several weeks ago. He was born in Taylor County October 26, 1900.He united in marriage to Miss Maude Louise Bright of Taylor County, March 14, 1937. To this union one son and two daughters were born, Peggy Dean, Betty Jean and James Gray, all at home. Besides his wife and children, he is survived by two brothers and one sister, Frank Barnett, of Florida, Dan Barnett and Mrs. Ida Kassell, both of Hollywood California. His step-father Ed Caffee, Campbellsville; three half-brothers and four half-sisters; Sam, Bill, and Dock Barnett, Dora Perkins , Liza Johnson, Ann Dicken, and Maude Milby all of Taylor County Ky. ~ The News- Journal, February 21, 1952 Pallbearers for the funeral of Dave Barnett, February 14, were Bill Kearnes, Grover L. Newcomb, James Perkins, Dick Pike, Haskel Rainwater, and Charlie Pierce.
