North Ogden Women Dies Following Operation: Funeral Sunday

Funeral services for Mrs. Clarissa Chadwick Storey will be held in the North Ogden chapel Sunday at 11:30 a.m. Bishop Frederick Barker will officiate. The body may be viewed at the home in North Ogden this afternoon and until 10 a.m. tomorrow. interment will be in North Ogden cemetery.
Mrs. Storey, who was 60 years old, died Friday following an operation at the Dee hospital for stomach trouble. her left leg was also amputated, and the shock proved to be too hard for her to bear, and she failed to rally.
Mrs. Storey and several children, including Joseph E. Storey, former county clerk, survive.
The following information regarding Mrs. Storey's life was take from her autobiography:
Mrs. Storey was born in North Ogden, June 18, 1859, the daughter of Abraham and Mary Wheeler Chadwick. She was married to James Storey in the Salt lake Endowment House and passed her life in North Ogden. She bore seven children, Joseph Edward, James Albert, John Samuel, George Hyrum, May Louise and Ephraim Nathan Storey. James and George died in infancy.
Mrs. Storey's father was a tailor and made the first suit of clothes that Brigham Young purchased and wore in Utah.
She says further:
"I was my mother's fourth and my father's twelfth child. As a child I had very poor health, and therefore could not go to school much, so I received little education. In 1886, when I was seven years old, we moved from what is known as "Chadwick's old place" to a lot in North Ogden. I was confirmed a member of the Church of Latter-day saints, July 18, 1869, by my father.
The surviving brother and sisters are Mrs. Alma Montgomery, Mrs. Newman H. Barker, Mrs. Elijah Shaw, John S. Chadwick, Mrs. John M. Bailey, Mrs. Joseph Barker and Mrs. David E. Randall, all of North Ogden.
