A. R. V. Byrd, 61, of Fort Wayne, Ind., and formerly of Scott County, Tenn., died March 7, 1998 in Fort Wayne. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Janes Byrd; and one brother, Lewis Byrd. He is survived by two daughters, Judy Burford and Joann Anspaugh, both of Fort Wayne, Ind.; two sons: Michael Lee Byrd of Avilla, and Daniel Byrd of Fort Wayne, Ind.; one brother, Lawrence Byrd, Jr.; six sisters: Lynn Landis, Lonas Smith, Lola Babb, Faye McCaroll, Geraldine Chambers, and Flonnie Mills; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and many other relatives. The family was to receive friends March 11, 1998, from 6 9 p.m., at West-Murley Funeral Home. Funeral service is to be conducted Thursday, March 12, 1998, 11 a.m., at West-Murley Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Chitwood officiating. Interment is to follow in Wright Cemetery in Fentress County.
