Simeon William Phipps, husband of late Margaret Renfrew Phipps, in 66th year, Tuesday, July 31, 1917, at 3:00 p.m. at residence of his daughter, Mrs. W. W. Boli, 405 Swissvale Avenue, Wilkinsburg, Pa. Services at son's residence (D. L. Phipps, 77 Rocky Grove avenue, Franklin) Thursday, August 2, 3:30 p.m. Interment Franklin cemetery.

Born Clinton township 63 years ago. Had been sick only since Friday and on Monday was considered better. Was resident of Rocky Grove for some time, leaving here to make home with his daughter, Mrs. May Boli after death of his wife three years ago. Body brought to home of his son, Larden Phipps, this evening. Services by Masons, Mr. Phipps having been a member of Masonic lodge of Butler. Three children, Larden Phipps, of Rocky Grove, Miss Mildred Phipps and Mrs. May Boli of Wilkinsburg; one sister, Miss Mary Jane Phipps of Kennerdell; two brothers, Porter of Pittsburgh and Rev. R. J. Phipps of Oklahoma. Miss Mildred Phipps was visiting in the Grove at the time of her father's death.
