Died Saturday, July 13, 1991, at West Feliciana Parish Hospital, St. Francisville. He was 80, a native of Centreville, Miss., and resident of Zachary for 50 years. He was a retired commercial fisherman.

Visiting at Newman Funeral Home, Centreville, Miss., 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday, and 8:30 a.m. to religious services at 11 a.m. Monday, conducted by the Rev. Eugene Banes. Burial in Oaklawn Cemetery, Centreville, Miss.

Survived by a daughter, Beatrice Partin, Wakefield; three sons, Richard "Dickie" Whetstone, Centreville, Miss., Billie Whetstone, St. Francisville, and Raymond Whetstone, Plaquemine; a sister, Lillian McLean, Zachary; a brother, Clifford Whetstone, Centreville, Miss.; 16 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by son, Robert Stanley Whetston.
