Died at 6 a.m. Sunday, May 9, 1982, at Field Memorial Hospital, Centreville, Miss. She was 90, a native and lifelong resident of Centreville.

Visiting at Newman Funeral Home, Centreville, Monday from 8 a.m. until religious services at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Jimmy Simeon. Burial in Oaklawn Cemetery, Centreville.

Survived by two daughters, Mrs. Lillian McLean, Zachary, and Mrs. Mildred Wier, Houston; two sons, James Whetstone, Zachary, and Clifford Whetstone, Centreville; three sisters, Mrs. Selma Dooley, Woodville, Miss., Mrs. Effie Smith, Centreville, and Mrs. Doris Purcell, New Orleans; three brothers, Ralph McKey, Covington, Elbert McKey, Crosby, Miss., and Edward McKey, Woodville; 19 grandchildren; 65 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her husband, Walter Bowman Whetstone.

Pallbearers are Robert Wier, Gary Wier, Bobby Walsh, Bowman "Bodie," George and Robert Whetstone.

She was a member of Woodville Christian Church.
