Visiting at Newman Funeral Home, Centreville, 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 8:30 a.m. until religious services at 2 p.m. Friday. Interment in Oaklawn Cemetery.
Survived by wife, Frances Whetstone, Centreville; two daughters, Jessie Mae Smith and Barbara Turner, both of Fort Worth, Texas; four sons, George Ellis Whetstone, Centreville, Walter Bowman "Bodie" Whetstone, Wilson, Donald and Glen Whetstone, both of Centreville; a sister, Lillian McLean, Zachary; 26 grandchildren, and 36 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by parents, Walter B. and Georgia Whetstone; a sister, Mildred Wier; two brothers, Jim and Jessie Whetstone; and a son, Clifton Jennings Whetstone.
Pallbearers will be grandchildren.
He was of the Christian faith.
