Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd., with R.A. Tindall and Keith Ellis, both elders, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery.
Mrs. Ellis was born in Tahoma. She had lived in Amarillo since 1954, where she volunteered for RSVP until her illness. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, who will be greatly missed. Much of her joy in life was her church and doing for others less fortunate. She was a member of Primitive Baptist Church for more than 65 years.
Survivors include two daughters, Donna Gayle Barton and Deborah Louise Gilbert, both of Amarillo; three sons, James Darrell Ellis of Houston and Royce Dwaine Ellis and Keith Darwin Ellis, both of Fort Worth; three brothers, Hubert Dykes of Amarillo, Willard Dykes of Boise, Idaho, and Cecil Dykes of San Antonio; a sister, Lorraine Davis of San Antonio; 14 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
