SERVICES SET THURSDAY FOR HOMER DYKES

Funeral services for Homer L. Dykes, 85, were to be conducted at 2 p.m. MDT Thursday, May 29, at Primitive Baptist Church in Clovis. Bro. Bernard Gowens was to officiate, assisted by Kenneth Martin. Interment was to be in the Texico Cemetery.

Mr. Dykes, a retired Texico farmer, died at Clovis Memorial Hospital Monday, May 26, following a brief illness.

Mr. Dykes came to Texico in 1942 having moved here from Sudan where he had resided since 1929.

Survivors include his wife, Dosha, of the home; three sons, Hubert of Sudan, Willard of Boise, Idaho, and Cecil of San Antonio; four daughters, Mrs. Ted Walker of Sudan, Mrs. Ruby Hardy and Mrs. Ruie Ellis, both of Amarillo, and Mrs. Richard Davis of San Antonio; four brothers, Earl of May Bank, Tex., Grady of Belton, Tex., Dewy of Hale Center and Johnny of Colorado Springs, Colo.; three sisters, Mrs. Eula Hearn of El Paso, Mrs. Nola Warren of Alamogordo, N.M. and Mrs. Jim Craig of Plainview; 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were to be Lester Norton, David Norton, Walter Baldock, Elton Bass, James Parker and Troy Little. Honorary pallbearers were Truman Kittrell, Cleveland Bass, W. N. Foster, S. C. Moore and Herman Patterson.
