Aurora - John F. Dworschak, 69, a resident of the Eby district for 40 years, died at his home Sept. 27. Besides his widow, Anna, he is survived by six children, William of St. Helens, Earl of Molalla, Freda Burley of Molalla, Nora Marsh of Aurora, Delbert and Della at home. Funeral services were held Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at the Everhart Funeral home in Molalla. Rev. Swarth of the Canby Nazarine Church officiated.

John was born to Johan P. and Johanna (Hickl) Dworschak in Pirkelsdorf, Austria (Czech Republic). He departed Bremen, Germany on the steamer SS America, 16 November 1887, W. Langer, master & arrived at Baltimore, Maryland on 30 November 1887 - his 22nd birthday.

John married Anna M. Kister on 2 Jan. 1894 near Macksburg, OR. They had nine children, six of which survived to adulthood. The John Dworschak farm on Cramer road, south of Eby School (consisting of 40 acres) was purchased from Franz Kraxberger, March 23, 1893 for the sum of $430.
