Anna was the eldest child of Volga-German immigrants, John P. and Christine M. (Becker) Kister. John Dworschak was her first husband (1894), with whom she had nine children. As a widow, she was remarried to John P. Wollner in 1937. She and her family farmed property south of Eby school, near Molalla, Oregon.
