Funeral services for Mrs. Katherine Tautfest, 86, of Aurora route 2, were conducted last Friday afternoon at the Miller Funeral Home in Aurora with interment in Butteville cemetery. Mrs. Tautfest, a resident of the Aurora district for the past 40 years, died October 21 at her home after an illness of several months. She was born September 14, 1881 in Kansas (sic) and came to Oregon 59 years ago. She was married to the late Henry Tautfest in 1898 at Oregon City. Surviving are three sons, Ralph of Independence, Alvin and Russel of Aurora; three daughters, Mabel Singer, Hazel Miller and Hilda Foubert, all of Aurora; three sisters, Pearl Jepson of Scapoose, Anna Wollner and Emma Walch of Molalla; nine granchildren.
