Graveside services for Jerrine Mimms Parks, 92, of Lubbock, will be held at the Ralls Cemetery 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 10th. She passed away March 7, 2012, in the Ralls Nursing Home. Burial will be at the Ralls Cemetery under the personal care of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.

Jerrine was born the 8th child of Otho and Margaret (Lee) Mimms on November 2, 1919, in Dickens, TX. She graduated Ralls High School in 1937 and married James H. Parks on November 21, 1941 in Austin, Texas. Jerrine has been a member of Broadway Church of Christ since 1977 and sold Real Estate with her husband for over 25 years in Lubbock.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James, of 69 years, a daughter Amelia Abell Fortenberry, one grandson, James R. Parks, five brothers, Leroy, Darrell, Pete, Dalton and Marvin Mimms and five sisters, Gladys Gilstrap, Jewel Taylor, Claudia Porter, Leona Blanton and Merle McFarland. She leaves behind one sister of Clovis, NM, Doris Morman.

Survivors include her son, Jim Parks (Keitha Estes) of Idalou, five grandchildren; Angie McDowell (Duke) of Dripping Springs, David Abell (Julie) of Dallas, Sarah Jennings (Kendall) of Bryan, and Ashton and Alec Estes of Idalou, ten great grandchildren, Will and Lindsey McDowell, Grace Abell, Ruth, Judah, Jesse, Maya, Aaron, Zeke and Rose Jennings.
