Darrell W. Mimms, 92, of Conway, passed away, Saturday, August 15, 2009. He was born Wednesday, September 6, 1916 in Dickens, Texas to the late Otho and Margaret (Lee) Mimms.
Mr. Mimms was a beloved father and grandfather. He was an avid gardener and baker.

He is survived by two sons, Jerry and his wife Kaye Mimms, and Kenneth Mimms; daughter, Lana Wallace and her husband Robert; seven grandchildren, John Mimms, Michael Mimms, Michele Mimms, Wade Wallace, Kreg Wallace, Jamie Dell, and Casey Brown; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Doris Moorman and Jerrine Parks; sister-in-law, Ruby Williamson; and one brother, Glen Mimms.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of sixty-one years, Bonnie (Burkett) Mimms.

Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at Liberty Church of Christ, Vilonia with Jim Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park with his grandsons and grandsons-in-law, serving as pallbearers. Hardy Mitchell and Chuck Stone will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Viewing will be on Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, Conway until 8 p.m.
