"DEATH TAKES AGED WOMAN. Miss Lizzie Valentine, Life-Long Resident Here, Dies Friday. Death took Miss Lizzie A. Valentine, aged 85, widely-known resident of this city her entire life, at her home, 348 East Franklin Street, Friday at 6 p.m. Complications resulting from a fractured hip which she suffered 12 days ago caused her death. She was born here on December 16, 1845, the daughter of Israel and Catherine Stout, both pioneers of this county. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Surviving are four brothers: Israel and Emanuel of this city; Edward of Circleville Township; and James of Ashville. Private funeral services will be held at the home Monday at 2:30 p.m. with Dr. G. J. Troutman officiating. Burial will be in Forest Cemetery by M. S. Rinehart. Friends are asked to call at the home between 2 and 6 p.m., Sunday."
