No Inquest In Adams' Death - Coronoer Decides Hanover Man's Death Was Accidental; Thrown From Car.

Coroner L.U. Zeck, of York, after an investigation Thursday night announced he would hold no inquest in the death of Bernard W. Adams, of Hanover, having decided that death was accidental. The coroner interviewed members of the Adams family and others concerned and announced his decision after carefully weighing all the evidence presented.

Mr. Adams, who was associated with his father, William J. Adams, and his brothers in the automobile business, was fatally injured about 10:55 o'clock Wednesday evening when he was thrown head first from the running board of a roadster, driven by Eugene F. Smith, 16 year old, McSherrystown, when young Smith applied the brakes of the machine.

The McSherrystown youth was accompanied by his cousin Carl L. Smith, McSherrystown. They were hailed at the corner of Baltimore and W. Walnut St. by Mr. Adams, who asked them to take him to his garage, about a block distant. He took a position on the running board as the car started away.

At the rear door of the garage, Smith stopped the car, and Adams not having a secure hold, was thrown to the street, his head striking the roadway. The two Smith boys immediately carried the injured man into the home of Herbert Yingling, opposite the garage entrance, and Dr. George P. Ard was summoned. Upon his arrival the physician noted the injured man's serious condition and called the ambulance in which Mr. Adams was taken to the Hanover hospital. He died at 3:10 Thusday morning from a fractured skull.

Mrs. Adams, wife of the accident victim, was greatly affected by the shock and today was confined to her bed.
Funeral services Monday morning at 9 o'clock, with the Rev. James A. Huber, rector at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, officiating.
