Mrs. Bessie Elklns Cole, 83, of Hlwassee, died late Wednesday night in the Pulaski Community Hospital. Born in Pulaski County, April 3,1895, she was the daughter of the late John Gilbert Elklns' and Martha Farmer Bikini. She was preceeded in death by her husband, Samuel Shelby Cole. She is survived by one daughter,Mrs. Frances Staples, Hlwassee; two granddaughters, Miss Frances Darken Staples, Waco, Texas, and Miss Carol Dawn Staples, Dublin; two sisters. Mrs. Effie O'Dell, Miss Fannie Elklns, both of Hiwassee. and
one brother. Waller Elklns, Pulaski. The funeral will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. from the Stevens Funeral Chapel with the Rev. C.E. Mannon officiating.
