FRED HAAGE CALLED SUDDENLY

Passed Away Saturday A. M. Following Heart Attack

Death claimed Fred Haage, resident of Preston Township for nearly 60 years, at his home early Saturday morning. Mr. Haage suffered a heart attack and his passing came as a sudden shock to his family.

Deceased was born December 25, 1859, in Germany and passed away at the age of 78 years, 8 months, and 16 days . He came to this country as a young man, coming directly to Plymouth County where he engaged in farming.

Surviving to mourn his loss are his nine children: John Haage, Le Mars; Henry Haage , Akron; Mrs. Louis Meyer, Akron; Herman Haage, Le Mars; Fred Haage, Akron; Mrs. Cassens (Cora), Akron; Mrs Wm. Lubben, Le Mars; Mrs. Henry Borchers, Akron; Gerd, at home. There are also 21 grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. John Doering, Le Mars and Mrs. Marienau, Ireton.

His wife preceded him in death four years ago.

Funeral services will be held at two o'clock Tuesday afternoon from the Preston Township church with Rev. Theo. Meyer, assisted b y Rev. Carl Meyer, officiating. Interment will be made in the Preston Township cemetery under the direction of Mauer's Funeral chapel.
