Mrs. O. C. Workman
Martha B. Pickering Workman, 80, widow of Oscar C. Workman, formerly of 413 Fourth street SW, and a Cedar Rapids resident 40 years, died in a Cedar Rapids nursing home Monday following a long illness.
Born Aug. 17, 1893, at Lafayette, Ind., she was married Feb. 4, 1913, at Center Point.
Surviving are two sons, Norman C. Workman, Cedar Rapids, and Oscar Workman, Jr., Westminster, Calif.; a daughter, Jean M. Woods, Green Bay, Wis.; 12 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Inez Hendryx of Vinton and Emma Beitz of Center Point and a brother, John Pickering of Watertown, S. D.
Services: Turner chapel east at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday by the Rev. Clifton Ellerbeck of Kenwood Park United Methodist church. Burial: Cedar Memorial cemetery. Friends may call at Turner east.
