In Memoriam

In loving remembrance of Lulu Theo Lippencott who departed this life March 19, 1905. She was born September 29, 1885, and was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Lippencott and leaves beside her parents, four brothers, Bartley, Ewing, Chauncey, Ora Lee, and one sister, Edna, and a host of relatives and friends. Lulu was a consistent member of the Bethlehem Baptist church, being converted under the preaching of Rev. McIlveen, at Independent school house, Aug. 8, 1899, and united with the Bethehem church at the age of fourteen.

The funeral took place Tuesday Mar. 21, 1905, at her late home. The funeral services were conducted by her pastor, Rev. Swiggart. The Waynesburg Baptist choir furnished the music both at the house and grave. A large concourse of friends went to pay theit last tribute of respect to the dear departed one. Everything that loving hands could do was done to show love and respect to her. She was buried in a beautiful cream casket with a profusion of flowers. Six of her cousins were pall bearers. She was laid to rest in the Smith burying ground near the Children's Home.
