Louvenia Patrick, 85, passed away February 13, 2012, at Hospice Ministries, Ridgeland. Visitation will be held at Chancellor Funeral Home of Byram, Thursday, February 16th , 5 until 8:00PM. Funeral Services will be at Chancellor Funeral Home of Byram Chapel on Friday, February 17th at 11:00AM with Dr. Jerry Smith Officiating, interment at Terry, MS Cemetery immediately following the service. Mrs. Patrick lived most of her childhood and all of her adult life in the Terry, MS area. There she met and married the Love of her life Kenneth Patrick. They made their home and raised their children on Kenneth's home place. They farmed the land, raising vegetables to sell at the Central Farmer's Market in Jackson where they had a booth for over 30 years. Mrs. Patrick took great joy in the many friends she made at the Farmer's Market where she greeted everyone with a warm smile and friendly conversation. Mrs. Patrick was a humble servant of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, a loving and devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother. Her faith in the Lord was strong and unshakeable and through her sweet spirit she passed her love for the Lord to all around her. Mrs. Patrick was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth, parents Louie and Vida Thomas, brothers Jewel Thomas and Marvin Thomas, sisters Zadie Harrigill, Zanie Anderson and Myrtil Payne. She is survived by her son Don Patrick and wife Becky of Terry, MS, daughter Edie Hudson and husband Bill of Terry, MS and sister Myrtis McManus and husband John of Terry, MS. Grandchildren, Danny McGowan and wife Michelle of Dallas, TX, Amy McKinney and husband Mackie of Memphis, TN, SPC Kevin Patrick, US Army, Fort Campbell, KY, Cindy Rice and husband Larry of Brandon, MS, Rev. Bill Hudson and wife Robbie of Natchitoches, LA, and 10 great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed and long remembered by all who knew her.
