Find Baby Died Of Ruptured Liver
Investigation continued today into the death of 16-month-old Michael Duane Stice, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Stice, 933 S. James St. Doctors made a thorough examination of the child's body over the weekend, concluding that death was caused by a ruptured liver, resulting from compression injuries. They said there were bruises on the baby's back and stomach. The father who was alone with the baby when it died said the boy fell from a high chair. Corner Gordon Traul said he had not decided whether to hold an inquest.
Funeral services will be at 3:30 PM Tuesday at the Johnson funeral Chapel, conducted by the Rev. W. B. Friend of the Pentecostal church. Burial will be in Shaul cemetery.
