aka. Sr. Rose Patrick. All four daughters were nuns in Brooklyn, New York. Rose was a pharmacist. Sr. Rose Patrick (Rose) Kaney was born in 1867 in Sandusky, WI. Her parents, Patrick Kaney and Rose Croal were both born in Ireland. Rose entered the Sisters of Charity of NY on April 11, 1893 at the age of 25 and as Sr. Rose Patrick made her first vows in July, 1895. Her first mission (1893-94) was St. Paul's School, Harlem, NYC. She then went to St. Joseph Orphan Asylum, Brooklyn, NY from 1894 to 1896. Her next mission was St. Mary's Orphan Asylum, Port Jervis, NY. We do not have a record of when she left but we know whe was ill and sent c. 1921 to St. Vincent's Hospital, Harrison, NY where she died on April 19, 1925. Sister is buried in St. Mary's Cemetery, Port Chester, NY.
