Elizabeth Rhorer was first married to John Houser, Oct. 8, 1832, in Decatur Co., Indiana. They had three daughters, two buried here at Mt. Pleasant. Houser was killed in a riot at Lexington, Kentucky, during the presidential campaign of 1840.

Elizabeth married second Aug. 26, 1844, to John Davis, himself a widower with several children. They had several more children together, including two buried here.
