Julia A. Mobley, aged 79 years, widow of the late Prof. Lewis Mobley, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. H. C. Funkhouser, 2019 Broadway, Indianapolis, at 11:30, Wednesday, May 31, after an illness of four months.

Mrs. Mobley was a native of Ohio, but spent most of her life in Bartholomew County, Indiana. She was united in marriage to Lewis Mobley, May 18, 1850, and to the union nine children were born, all of whom survive, they being Darius of California; Orsa of Ohio; Dana and Mrs. H. C. Funkhouser of Indianapolis; Mrs. J. W. Sisk of California; Mrs. Albert Wright of Waldron, Indiana; Mrs. John Brummit of Bunker Hill, Indiana; Mrs. W. W. Alexander of Syracuse, New York; and Mrs. Clyde McFaren of California.

For the last six years, Mrs. Mobley lived with the daughter at whose home she died. After short funeral services, the body was brought to Hartsville, Friday when the regular services were held at 11 o'clock a.m. in the United Brethren Church, conducted by the Rev. B. O. Blake, of College Corner, Indiana.
